DOHMH Housing Provider Trainings
These training opportunities are supported by the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DOHMH) and are intended for staff working in housing programs that receive DOHMH funding. They help strengthen staff knowledge and practical skills.
DOHMH General
DOHMH funded Housing Programs
The Center for Urban Community Services (CUCS) offers free training for eligible staff funded by the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DOHMH) who work in DOHMH-funded transitional or permanent housing programs in New York City. Courses provide practical knowledge and skills to strengthen service delivery, support tenant engagement, and address the needs of people experiencing homelessness or living in supportive housing. The offerings include a foundational supportive housing core series, along with training in areas such as housing access, behavioral health, and case management. Continuing education credits are available for designated courses.

DOHMH Staff funded Housing Programs
As an eligible CUCS staff member working in a DOHMH-funded housing program, you have access to training through the CUCS DOHMH learning platform at no cost. These courses support your professional development and strengthen the practical skills you use to engage tenants, respond to their needs, and deliver person-centered housing services. Explore the available core and elective courses, register for upcoming sessions, and earn certificates and applicable continuing education credits by completing course requirements. This training benefit is intended for staff who meet DOHMH funding and program eligibility criteria; access is not automatically available to all CUCS employees.
